Born and educated in Manila, he moved to Singapore to further his architecture experience. He enjoys travelling with the office and rediscovering the works of the ‘Modern Masters’. This guy may be the one cracking jokes with his colleagues every now and then, but the ‘funny one’ takes his work seriously.

Hailing from South (not North) Korea, Dongsuk speaks English with a unique Korean/American/Singaporean accent as a result of his extensive background studying and teaching in Korea and the United States. He has now been with RT+Q for more than seven years. As a member of the Singapore Zoo and Night Safari, he has visited those places more than fifty times with his children.

Fiona has always felt an instinctive attraction to residential spaces and houses are close to her heart. She believes in architecture that engages all the senses, and wishes to experience the works of Frank Lloyd Wright first hand one day. She enjoys the overseas study trips with her colleagues at RT+Q, and can be seen capturing those memorable life experiences on film.

Grace became an architect because of her passion for design and its power to better the lives of others. She enjoys the playful and light side of architecture and life, yet sees her journey as one of continuous growth and development. Her downtime favourites includes a cup of tea, her dog and a sketch pad.

Jaa was born and raised in Thailand. She likes travelling the world with family and friends to find inspiration. She believes architecture is about the exploration and creation of nice spaces. So she enjoys working in this small office.

Jaslyn pursued architecture with an interest in music-making and spatial qualities. She enjoys learning the craft of elements and materiality that orchestrates experiences within the built environment. She loves spiced chai, sunsets, and most things yellow.

To Jes, every line on the plan represents something. She’s very meticulous and appreciates good sketches. She enjoys her work at RT+Q and loves coming to work.

Jesline is Singaporean and enjoys working in RT+Q. She loves travelling, volunteering, photography and kick fit. She can be found at Universal Studios with her kids on weekends.

Having been exposed to architecture from a young age, Jonathan continues to be fascinated by the rigour, mystery and poetry of its artistry. Gone are the days of being a social butterfly; weekends are now spent with his three children, which has galvanized his sense of purpose. He aspires for continual self-improvement to become a better architect and father.

Having dreamt of being an architect from a young age, Kaili is now enjoying every day learning more about the profession. She is especially interested in the exploration of new spatial relationships. Her other passions lie in art, rock music, and the human aspects of technology.

Since she was eight, Laurenne has been going around telling everyone who would listen that her dream is to be a writer, and reads about everything under the sun to learn about the world. To the architecture discipline, she brings her attention to detail and love of bringing order out of chaos.

A traveler at heart, Meris continues to be inspired and intrigued by the wonders of the world. Her love for architecture stems from creating joy for others. She also finds happiness through exercise.

Born in Singapore, trained in the UK - Natalie has a penchant for all things beautiful. She strives to achieve both aesthetic and quality in her work, and is assured that she is in the right place at RT+Q.

Amazed at the designs of buildings she sees from the windows of buses and trains; she joined an architecture firm to gain a deeper appreciation of the art.

Pang grew up and studied in Chiangmai, Thailand. She has always been fascinated by looking at buildings, especially houses and museums. Travelling with the office has inspired her to come up with interesting new designs. She now enjoys working in Singapore, where there are many different nationalities.

Pek entered architecture believing it is the pinnacle of design to impact the day-to-day life of people. He takes joy in the intricate art of creating functional yet out-of-the-box architecture details. He is also an avid lover of the outdoors. Outside the office, he can be found running, swimming, cycling, or diving in the underwater world.

Born in Malaysia and educated in the U.S, Rene trained first as a pianist, then an architect. A believer in work-life balance, his current resolution is to learn Chopin’s first etude, to never generate ‘work’ for himself and his colleagues, and to spend more time with his family. He is inspired by his daughter Lara’s reminder that “the real beauty of architecture is not about the looks, but about the heart and character of the building” and that “every architect must put in hard work and grit”.

Born and bred in Penang, Malaysia, Shen Ru finds painting therapeutic and immerses herself in it by painting ‘in the moment’, referring to the process as ‘experiential artwork’. She draws inspiration from day-to-day life, may it be from work, travelling, playing the piano, or social settings.

Architecture, with its power to shape spaces and environments, was a childhood dream that she realized locally and further pursued in Australia and the UK. On weekends, she can be found with a good book, good food, or in the midst of a good conversation, with a cup of tea in hand. She enjoys traipsing around foreign lands whenever time and funds permit.

Many years ago, I boarded a train called Architecture, and soon realized there was no end and no arrival hall, but many unscheduled stops, some bumpy terrain, and many incredible landscapes. I also encountered fellow passengers that became my companions and kindred spirits on this exhilarating journey – sharing the same vision, aspirations and direction.

Since young, YL has been moulded to revel in all aspects of the arts from his parents. From then on, he is always armed with at least two cameras on the path to discover new experiences. On days he isn’t in his darkroom, he would be binge watching anything science fiction.
